The future of construction is already here: how neural networks are changing the industry

On April 16, the large-scale BUILD FEST Chelyabinsk forum took place at the Radisson BLU Hotel — an event for professionals in construction, finishing, and design

Artem Kashakov's talk at BUILD FEST Chelyabinsk

BUILD FEST attendees shared experiences, learned about new materials and tools, and listened to talks from leading market experts. One of the speakers was Artem Kashakov, a representative of ST IT, who delivered a talk titled "Construction of the Future: A View on Digitalization and Process Automation."

Artem began his talk by polling the audience: who already uses neural networks in their work, and who has never tried them. His main point: neural networks are a tool that, when implemented properly, help you earn more, save time, and feel in control. Artem emphasized that it's not enough to just "attach" a neural network to a business — you need to integrate it into specific processes, from design to sales.

Real-world cases: from investment consulting to YouTube without filming

To keep ideas grounded, Artem shared several examples from his company's practice: speeding up calculations for clients of a real estate agency focused on investment consulting; digitizing paper blueprints in construction; automatically generating commercial proposals; and running a YouTube channel without actual filming.

The speaker also focused on building a sales funnel. He noted that many entrepreneurs go through this journey by trial and error, losing time and money. But today, everything can be automated so you can focus on your core work — construction, finishing, plumbing — while algorithms handle the routine.

Unfortunately, it's hard to capture the live emotions, examples, and real-time dialogue with the audience in text. Be sure to watch the full video recording of Artem Kashakov's talk. You'll get a better sense of how AI technologies are already transforming the construction industry today.
